Consultant Interviews

Jonas - Electronic hardware design engineer

My name is Jonas, and I work with hardware for radar systems. I was born and raised in Gothenburg, and here I stayed. I studied Electrical Engineering at Chalmers. I knew people who were employees of Altran, who recommended Altran to me and vice versa. Mainly, it was the impression from the other employees and the ability to influence within the company that attracted.

I really enjoy working at Altran. We have regular activities together with co-workers, which is something I appreciate and something that I think is needed to get a good atmosphere. One feels that it is part of the company, which I think is important and quite rare in the consulting industry.

Josefin - Embedded systems consultant

I come from a small village called Öinge located midway between Falkenberg and Halmstad in Halland. I have a Master in Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University in Gothenburg. Earlier I worked for NXP in Zurich through an exchange organized by IAESTE. Right now I train in a gym and horseback riding. I'll also start playing badminton with the rest of the people at the Malmö office.

At Altran, you as an employee have great influence, both managers and employees have the attitude that anything is possible. An advantage with Altran is that you can control the direction of your career. Right now I want to be really good at mixed signal ASICs, then I would like to work abroad.

Martin - SW design engineer

I'm from Linköping, but have lived a few years in the U.S. I studied Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University in Gothenburg, as have several of my collegues. I like to travel, play badminton and I'm right now considering to start playing golf again. Being a consultant is perfect for me, since I like challenges and have a great need for change.

Altran can offer interesting assignment, so the choice of company was obvious! I like it here at Altran since we have a very good community. Right now, I want to go deeper into hardware programming or real time applications. In the future, I'd like an assignment abroad.
